Class Record: Ukemi + Katamaki + Syllabus

Class: Monday 31st March

We did various ukemi in a flowing manner  with an emphasis on continuous movement.

The last Kata in the Koto Ryu Shoden Gata, “katamaki” was pulled apart in depth last night. There was a particular way of blocking, how to trap the arm, particular kicks/strikes/grabs, ways of controlling uke’s kukan, flowing in and out of locks  etc etc. Later on the seniors did some versions with hanbo and shinobizue while the kyu grades worked on syllabus material.
